He decides to help Katara find the Fire Nation soldier responsible for killing her mother. Together they find the man, however, Katara is unable to exact her revenge on him. After returning, she finally forgives Zuko and accepts him into the group.
Why was Katara mad at Zuko?
Katara apologized to Zuko for misjudging him and Zuko told Katara he was cursed by his scar to chase Aang forever and was free to mark his own destiny meaning he would no longer capture Aang,Zuko stated that he could never be free of his scar,Katara offered to heal his scar. Zuko did not repay her but attacked her.
Did Katara forgive Yon Rha?
In the end, Katara accepts both points. She decides to not allow revenge to consume her and not kill Yon Rha because she knows that it won't bring her mother back; at the same time, she doesn't forgive Yon Rha (and makes it clear she will never forgive him) because he still murdered her mother.
Why is Katara so angry?
Katara was upset that he left her and Sokka so long, especially without their mother. I'm sure she's aware of his warfare duties, but from an emotional standpoint she feels abandoned.
Why was Katara mean to her father?
She tells her father she thought it was stupid and selfish of him to face the firelord alone. She needs to develop to say this upfront to Aang. She is so watchful and caring for other people's feelings and needs but in the process she can lose enough care for her own feelings and needs.
