2 Ended: Amara Amara was a recent fling Dean had in the series. Dean somehow ended up falling for the darkness herself, God's older sister. This romance was pretty complicated and had a ton of back and forth, as they both are bonded due to the fact that he is the reason she was let free.

Does Amara try to kill Dean?

Amara waits for the forces of Heaven to attack. Amara moves closer to Dean. She cups his face in her hands and attempts to consume Dean's soul. A confused look dawns on her face -- either she cannot consume Dean's soul, or she decides against it.

  • Amara did agree to consider helping the Winchesters battle her brother after Dean promised not to hurt her. Dean's pants didn't immediately catch on fire from his massive lie, so the Dean/Amara dynamic might only get more complicated before the end, especially if he goes through with betraying her and/or she figures it out.

How did Amara get the mark of Cain?

  • When Rowena performed a spell to remove the Mark of Cain from Dean, it broke the lock and unleashed the Darkness back into the universe. After being newly freed, Amara first appeared to Dean as a grown woman bearing the Mark of Cain and is later born as a baby, also bearing the Mark.
