Is the show Viking historically accurate?
Despite the rhetoric of some of the actors when interviewed, the show isn't a window onto the past. Vikings doesn't show us the adventures of well-known historically attested individuals, nor does it always show well-substantiated historical events as scholars understand them.
Is floki from Vikings real?
Floki the boat builder, a character played by Swedish actor Gustaf Skarsgård in the History channel's Vikings television series, is loosely based on Hrafna-Flóki Vilgerðarson. In season 5 of the show he arrives in Iceland, believing he has found Asgard.
