Prince Zuko (later known as Fire Lord Zuko) is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Katara) of Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender. He serves as the secondary antagonist of Book One: Water, an anti-hero in Book Two: Earth, and the deuteragonist of Book Three: Fire.

Why did Zuko become good?

He sees the suffering his nation has caused, and realizes the fire nation is not above the other nation. This realization along with Iroh's help, pushes him to act on the good inside of him.

  • Zuko has been burned, both literally and figuratively, by the people who should have loved him the most. Because of this, he’s not automatically open to affection or to giving affection. One of the best traits Zuko has is his willingness to change. He is very adaptable, and he makes the biggest shift of any other character.
