Are watch dogs 1 and 2 linked?
Not really. Watchdogs 1 and Watchdogs 2 are both set in different locations, and you play as different people. However, I would recommend playing the first installment anyways, as there are certain scenes/characters/missions that are tied to the first game.
Is Watch Dogs 2 appropriate for a 13 year old?
It's fine for teenagers as long as they know what they're looking at and that it's not okay. Watch Dogs is a great game. It is, however, rated M for mature, and that turns parents off immediately, or, at least, in my case. ... At one point in the game, you can completely break a human trafficking ring.
Do I need to play watchdogs 1 before 2?
The game is technically a sequel, but it largely stands on its own. There are a few references to the original, and at least one important Watch Dogs character makes an appearance, but you don't need to have played the original to understand what's going on.
