Uncharted is a better game, but far cry will last longer. I'd go Far Cry 3. Beautiful, open world with tons of exploration and adventure. You can be your own Nathan Drake.

It is a scripted event, no way to avoid it. When you are marked and hunters dispactched you will be captured to move a long the story.
