According to the leaked spreadsheet, this game is scheduled to release at some point in 2023. It's worth noting that after the success of Monster Hunter World, not only is another Monster Hunter game unsurprising but this game will probably be titled Monster Hunter World 2, or something similar.

However, while Monster Hunter World does look better and is bigger as the main pluses, Monster Hunter Rise is just a better-balanced game for newcomers. Sure, it's technically a smaller experience but it still feels huge. It really does feel like the true successor even though it isn't called Monster Hunter World 2.

- Just don't buy mats for weapons because it kinda ruins most of the fun. The whole game can be completed solo, though a few late game monsters tend to be much easier with a group. There will definitely still be people playing world/iceborne even when the new game comes out for Switch in March
