Gideon was a human male who served as an officer in the Imperial Security Bureau, a law enforcement and intelligence agency of the Galactic Empire. By around 9 ABY, he had acquired the legendary Mandalorian weapon known as the Darksaber and risen to the position of moff, leading a remnant of the fallen Empire.
Did Moff Gideon have a Darksaber?
By circa 9 ABY,Moff Gideon, who had participated in the Great Purge the Empire had launched against the Mandalorians, had acquired the Darksaber. He later used it to escape from the wreckage of his Outland TIE fighter after a confrontation with Din Djarin on the planet of Nevarro.
