Does Tanjiro Kamado become a Hashira?
Tanjiro Kamado does not become a hashira / pillar of the Demon Slayer corps. In the final chapter of the manga, he defeats the Demon King, Kibutsuji Muzan thereby eliminating all the demons, and in extension eliminates the need for Demon Slayer corps and Hashiras altogether.
Why did Rengoku dislike Tanjiro so much?
- When Rengoku first met Tanjiro, he strongly disliked him due to breaking the demon slayer code and protecting a demon. However, after meeting and spending time with him on the Mugen train, Rengoku started respecting Tanjiro, and even offered to make him his Tsuguko (successor).
Who is Tanjiro's older brother in Mugen train?
- By the end of the film, Tanjiro begins calling Kyojuro his older brother as an affectionate term. The Flame Hashira even tells the boy he wants Tanjiro to be his predecessor for his title one day. Of course, that moment comes sooner than expected as Mugen Train ends with Kyojuro's death.

Although Tanjiro has the same earrings, breath style, hair and mark as Yoriichi, he is not related to him, but rather, Yoriichi is an extremely close family friend of Tanjiro’s family. This means Muichiro and Tanjiro are in fact NOT related.
