Like Tomoe, Enishi sought revenge against Kenshin for Akira's death and after Kenshin mistakenly killed Tomoe, Enishi's rage increased. In the end, 15 years later, he was defeated by Kenshin and after learning Tomoe's true feelings for Kenshin through her diary, he gave up his quest for revenge.
