I can't say anything bad about the game, it runs well, looks beautiful, all its systems still hold up and it's very newbie-friendly. ... I can't recommend this game enough in 2020, whether you want a solo experience or to play with others Guild Wars has it for you.
Can I still play Guild Wars 1?
The game is still fairly active but if you are wanting to play everything with other people you will need to arrange that or find a very active Guild/Alliance. To just play through from the start you should expect to play some of it yourself, although you will see and play with others.
