Eren Yeager (Eren Jaeger in the anime) is the protagonist of the Attack on Titan series. He is a former member of the Survey Corps, the leader of the Yeagerists, the current inheritor of the Attack Titan and later revealed to be the Founding Titan as well. Recently, he has become the inheritor of the War Hammer Titan.

- Protagonist doesn't necessarily mean the good guy and antagonist the bad guy. Since we're following the story now from the scouts perspective or Gabi and falco. I'd say they're the protagonists now. While the antagonists are the Yeagers brother, you can maybe also count Marley.
Why did Eren become the antagonist of AOT?
- The way the story is written we're supposed to side with Mikasa and Armin, who've become concerned about him, and that places him on the opposite side of the battle. Yeah, it's actually kind of sad that from such a cute, lively and caring boy he changed to such a silent and mysterious man who doesn't care so much about other people anymore.

- For me, personally, Eren is not an entirely evil person. He is a deeply flawed character with both positive and negative qualities. Both of the two sides of him are extremely strong and have been shown quite a few times.

- At this point, fans would deem Eren’s actions evil since assassinating fellow humans is already in his mind. However, it’s later revealed that Eren’s actions went in this direction just so he can manipulate the Founding Titan .
