the Lion Sin of Pride Escanor, also known as The One and the Lion Sin of Pride, is one of the main protagonists of the anime/manga/light novel series The Seven Deadly Sins. He is a member of the Seven Deadly Sins, and is considered the most powerful of their ranks.
How did Escanor join the Seven Deadly Sins?
- Just like the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins members, even though Escanor’s sin justified his personality, he was framed. On the day of Escanor’s execution, Meliodas cancelled it and took Escanor under his wing instead. Thus, the lion’s sin of pride joined the Seven Deadly Sins.
Why was Escanor charged with the sin of pride?
- On account of hurting the Holy Knights including Zartaras and disrespecting the King Bartra, Escanor was charged with a death penalty along with the tag – the Sin of Pride, Lion Sin Escanor. Just like the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins members, even though Escanor’s sin justified his personality, he was framed.
What does Escanor do with the Cruel Sun?
- Cruel Sun: Escanor forms a miniature sun in his hand that radiates immense heat. He can control its movements, using it to strike enemies as well as standing on it and using it as a flying vehicle. He can greatly enlarge the sun by putting more power into it.
How did Escanor change his body and personality?
- His power changed both his body and his personality, making him timid, small, and weak at night but arrogant, large, and strong during the day. He was discovered by Meliodas and Merlin and joined the Seven Deadly Sins. He considers the two of them his saviors, especially Merlin, who he fell deeply in love with.
