Which Bardock is canon?
In short: even though Bardock is a major figure in Dragon Ball, he's never been a fully recognized one... until now. The Minus Version - The major retcon that Dragon Ball Super: Broly makes to Bardock is confirming that the Dragon Ball Minus version of the story is now official canon.
Are Bardock and gine canon?
Well, the character Bardock is canon. However, Bardock the Father of Goku and the Bardock Special are NOT canonical. Neither were written/created by Akira Toriyama. However, the manga short, Dragon Ball Minus, which not only has Bardock but introduces Goku's mother Gine, was written by Toriyama.
Is Bardock dead canon?
Now, both of the mentioned works are non-canon. So canonically, Bardock is dead. But non-canonically, he had survived his demise and survived by going back in time (unclear if he's still alive). And as for the future, it remains unaffected.
Is Super Bardock canon?
Nope. Both Bardock specials are non-canon. In Jaco the galactic patrolman Toriyama does a mini bonus manga called dragonball minus that tells a different story for Bardock.
