Why did Sam turn evil?
In Season 6, soulless Sam seemed a bit evil, due to his lack of empathy, but was generally referred to as RoboSam. At the beginning of 15.04 Atomic Monsters, Sam has a nightmare where he embraced the demon blood and became the leader of the demon army as Azazel had intended.
What did Sam do to the demon?
During Mother's Little Helper, Sam is shown to keep a recording of an exorcism spell on his phone. While strangled by a demon, Sam played the recording to keep her distracted and when she went for the phone. He recovered and stabbed her with the Demon-Killing Knife.
