Why did Sasha kill herself in the walking dead?
Since she was being used as a bargaining chip, Sasha hoped that she would transform into a walker to kill Negan before he could hurt any more of her friends. While Sasha's plan didn't fully work in the season 7 finale, her death provided a distraction that allowed Rick's group to fight back against the Saviors.

By the time Negan opens the casket, Sasha's reanimated and nearly bites him. Later, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) is forced to put the undead Sasha down.

- In the mid-season finale "Made to Suffer", about six weeks after their group is overrun, Sasha, along with Tyreese, Allen, Ben and a mortally wounded Donna (who later dies of her wound), find an entrance into A-Block of the prison.

- At that moment, Negan breaks out of his cell to rescue Lydia. In doing this, he accidentally kills Margo. While she is badly beaten up, Lydia survives, and it’s all because of good guy Negan. When Daryl finds out what happened, even he seems a little thankful to Negan!
